Indoor Festival Rules

Games: All games have a 35 minute running clock. It will start promptly and teams must get off the field immediately when finished.

Substitution: Unlimited and on the fly. Player substituted for must be out of the play.

Equipment: Player must wear shin guards, outdoor molded soccer cleats (screw-in metal studs not allowed) and uniforms.

Off-sides and Tackles: The off-sides rule will not be used. Slide tackles are not allowed and will result in an indirect kick for the opposing team.

Goal Kicks and Goalie Passes: The ball must touch the defensive half of the field before going into the offensive half of the field. Rule also applies when goalie is throwing the ball. The goalie becomes a field player outside the box. No punting or drop kicks are allowed. A violation of this rule results in an indirect kick from anywhere on the midfield line for the opposing team.

Free Kicks: All free kicks will be indirect except penalty kicks (taken from outside the 12 yd line) All free kicks must have 10' clearance.

Throw Ins: As per FIFA

Corner Kicks: As per FIFA

Goalie Play: Goalie may not touch the ball with his hands on kick backs.

Field of Play: If the ball hits the lights or ceiling, a free kick will be awarded to the other team.

Injury Time: Time is a running clock. (NO INJURY TIME)

Conduct: Coaches are responsible for their own conduct as well as the conduct of their players and parents. Followed by: N.J. YOUTH Sanctions.

Red Cards: If player is given a red card they are out of the festival. Where it applies, fighting will not be tolerated and will result in team suspension and expulsion from all remaining games! Yellow card = removed from the game. Two yellow cards = red and will be removed from the festival.

Grace Periods: Games will start on scheduled time. Lateness will decrease playing time.

General Notes

 T.R.S.A: reserves the right to impose sanctions and or penalties for harassment of officials and festival staff by coaches, player or spectators. Penalties will include removal of offending party from the fields and or complex.

NO appeals will be heard

NO protests will be heard

All festival matches will be played in accordance with the "Laws of the Game" as issued by FIFA, unless modified herein.

T.R.S.A reserves the right to change or modify rules and formats at any time.

Team must check in 30 min. before game.

Each win is 3 points; each tie is one point; forfeit will count as 2-0 win.

In case of a tie at end of festival, the tie will be broken as follow: (1) head to head,  (2) goals against,  (3) goals for.  At no time will there be extra playing time.
